Download and Install the App: Download the FLO EV Charging app from the Google Play Store (for Android) or Apple App Store (for iOS). Once the app is installed, open it to start setting up your account. The app provides a map with real-time availability, showing whether a charging station is in use or free. You can filter search results by station type (e.g., Level 1, Level 2, or DC fast charging) to find the one that best suits your needs. You can also search based on the charger’s accessibility, such as handicap-accessible charging points. Check Station Availability: Before heading to a charging station, the app provides up-to-date information on station availability. You’ll be able to see if the station is currently occupied, and if it is, when the next available slot will open. This is useful to avoid waiting times at popular charging locations. Some stations also have real-time data on how long each charging session has been running, allowing you to estimate when a charger will become available. Start a Charging Session: Once you arrive at a charging station, you can use the app to start your charging session. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your vehicle to the charger, and the app will guide you through the process. You can also start a session by scanning the QR code on the charging station, which will automatically link the station to your app account for easy access. Track Charging Progress: The app allows you to monitor the status of your charging session in real-time. You can see the current charge level of your vehicle, how much energy has been delivered, and the estimated time remaining for a full charge. You can also track your charging session’s cost, including the total energy consumption and the rate you’re being charged, all directly from the app. Stop Charging and Pay: Once your vehicle has reached the desired charge level or you’re ready to leave, you can stop the charging session directly through the app. The app will automatically handle the payment and provide you with a receipt for your records. If you need to extend your session, you can do so through the app, depending on the availability of the charger.
