GlobalProtect for Android is a mobile app that provides secure remote access to your organization’s network via a GlobalProtect gateway on a Palo Alto Networks next-generation firewall. The app offers enterprise-grade security and adapts to the user’s location to connect to the best available gateway for optimal performance. It supports multiple connection modes, including Always-On VPN, Remote Access VPN, and Per App VPN, making it ideal for remote workers who need secure access to internal resources while on the go.
How to use:
Ensure your organization has a GlobalProtect gateway subscription enabled on the firewall.
Install the GlobalProtect app from the Google Play Store.
Open the app and enter the gateway address provided by your IT department.
Log in using your credentials (supporting various authentication methods like OTP, RADIUS, SAML, or LDAP).
The app will automatically connect to the best available gateway, ensuring optimal performance.
For manual selection, choose a gateway from the list provided.
Once connected, you can securely access internal resources or browse the internet with enterprise-level protection.
To disconnect, log out from the app or disable the VPN connection.
