OBDocker - OBD2 Car Scanner

For Car Owners: Download the OBDocker App: Start by downloading the OBDocker app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Get an OBD2 Scanner or Adapter: To use the OBDocker app, you’ll need an OBD2 scanner or Bluetooth OBD2 adapter. These devices plug into your car’s OBD2 port, usually located under the dashboard near the driver’s seat. There are many compatible OBD2 adapters available on the market, including Bluetooth or Wi-Fi models that sync wirelessly with your phone. Connect the OBD2 Scanner to Your Car: Plug the OBD2 scanner into your car’s OBD2 port (this port is typically found under the dashboard on the driver’s side). Turn on the ignition of your vehicle, but you don’t need to start the engine. Launch the OBDocker App: Open the OBDocker app on your smartphone or tablet. The app will automatically detect the OBD2 scanner if it's properly connected to your vehicle. If the app doesn't automatically detect the device, follow the on-screen instructions to pair it via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. Read Fault Codes: Once the scanner is connected, you can use the OBDocker app to read diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) from your car’s engine control unit (ECU). If there are any issues or warning lights, the app will provide you with error codes and descriptions, helping you understand the problem. You can search the DTC code in the app to get more information on the issue. Monitor Live Data: The app allows you to monitor live data from your car’s sensors. This includes engine temperature, fuel efficiency, RPM, speed, and more. The app will display this data in real-time, giving you insights into how your car is performing. Clear Fault Codes: After resolving any issues, you can use OBDocker to clear the fault codes stored in your vehicle’s ECU. This will turn off the check engine light or any other warning lights associated with the issue. Be sure to fix the problem before clearing the codes to ensure the issue doesn't reoccur. Check Emissions Readiness: The app also allows you to check your car’s emissions readiness. This is important for ensuring your car is ready for an emissions test. The app will show whether the car’s components are performing well and if any issues could cause your car to fail an emissions test. View Vehicle Data History: OBDocker provides a history of all diagnostic scans performed on your vehicle. You can view past fault codes, sensor data, and any other diagnostic information, allowing you to track the health of your vehicle over time. Plan for Maintenance and Repairs: Based on the data collected by the app, you can plan preventive maintenance or repairs. The app may alert you to issues such as worn-out parts, fluid levels, or other potential problems. Regular scans can help you catch issues early and avoid costly repairs in the future. Use the App for Multiple Vehicles: If you have multiple cars, OBDocker can be used with different vehicles. Simply connect the scanner to each car and the app will store separate data for each vehicle.
