Description:

PhoneAccount Abuse Detector is an open-source Android app designed to help users identify and detect apps that misuse the PhoneAccount functionality in Android’s TelecomManager. The app alerts users if any app is adding excessive PhoneAccounts to the device, which can block the ability to call emergency numbers. The app provides a straightforward interface, showing a message at the top of the screen if any abuse is detected and listing the apps that have registered a Phone Account on the device. How to play:

Install and open the PhoneAccount Abuse Detector app. The app will scan your device for any apps that have registered PhoneAccounts. Check the message at the top of the screen to see if any potential abuse is detected. Review the list of apps that have registered a Phone Account and identify any suspicious apps. If necessary, uninstall or disable any apps that are preventing emergency calls by abusing the PhoneAccount feature.
