Choose Your Tribe: When starting the game, you will select one of three tribes—Romans, Gauls, or Teutons. Each tribe has unique advantages and disadvantages. Romans are good for defense and infrastructure, Gauls are fast and have strong defense units, and Teutons are offensive and specialize in powerful attack units. Your choice will influence your strategy and the way you develop your village. Build and Upgrade Your Village: Your initial goal is to build and upgrade the structures in your village. You start with basic buildings like a crannied storehouse, a barracks, and a warehouse. From there, you’ll need to construct additional buildings like a marketplace, grain mills, and defensive structures. Each building plays a crucial role in resource gathering, army production, and your village’s defense. Gather Resources: Resources are vital to expanding and upgrading your village. The main resources in Travian: Legends are wood, clay, iron, and wheat. These resources are used for everything from building structures to training units and upgrading your village. You must manage your resources effectively by setting up resource fields, managing production, and trading with other players. Train Your Army: Once you have a barracks and enough resources, you can begin training your army. Travian: Legends features a wide range of units, from basic infantry to powerful siege equipment. Each tribe has different units, and strategic unit composition is key for both offense and defense. Train a balanced army to protect your village and to launch attacks against rivals. Form Alliances: Since Travian: Legends is a massively multiplayer game, forming alliances with other players is often necessary for survival. Alliances allow you to coordinate attacks, share resources, and defend against common enemies. Working with other players gives you a strategic advantage and access to collective resources, troops, and intelligence. Attack Other Villages: Once your army is strong enough, you can start attacking enemy villages. Be strategic in your approach: scout your target village first to gather information about its defenses and resources. Knowing what your enemy has will allow you to plan your attacks effectively, whether it’s a surprise raid or a full-scale siege. Defend Your Village: As your village grows, it will become a target for other players. Travian: Legends features a variety of defensive structures like walls, towers, and traps to protect your village. The key to defense is making sure your village is adequately protected while balancing your resources between expansion and defense. You can also train defensive units like spearmen and archers to help protect against incoming raids. Research and Improve: As you progress, you can research new technologies to improve your village's efficiency and your army’s capabilities. Research is available at the academy, and upgrading technologies can improve your resource gathering, military units, and building efficiency. Prioritizing the right research path can give you a strategic edge. Expand Your Empire: Once your initial village is well-established, you can expand your empire by founding new villages. This requires sending settlers, which can be trained at the main building. Expanding gives you access to more resources, additional defensive positions, and the ability to create more specialized villages (e.g., farming-focused villages or military bases). Engage in World Events: The game regularly hosts world events, like the Race to Dominate, where players compete for dominance by capturing the capital and earning victory points. Engaging in these events, either solo or with your alliance, can lead to big rewards and help you move closer to victory.
